Chapter I - The Beginning

Early Life

Acero was born in 54 BBY on the planet of Breeka, the only son of a moderately wealthy family, and was taken to Coruscant to begin his Jedi training shortly thereafter. In the later years of his Jedi training he was able to visit his family a few times. Miners by trade, his family started their own corporation during Acero's time at the Temple. As he was taken away so early from his parents they did not have the time to figure out a name for him. So at the Jedi Temple he was simply known as Acero, which was the family name. In his later years though, Acero took his Master's first name, Durkin.

Youngling

As a youngling, he trained under many great Jedi Masters alongside other Jedi hopefuls close to his age. All of them became good friends of Acero and some went on to become great Jedi. He was honored to have trained with such great Jedi as Lorana Jinzler, and Sia-Lan Wezz. It was also as a youngling that Acero met some of his best friends, Matthew-Sean Ezelle and Aocet. Others ended up becoming rivals, and even enemies, such as Maltar and Kardin Naxter.

As a youngling, Acero became very fascinated by the Jedi Archives, and spent many hours studying in the library while he should have been practicing his lightsaber skills. The knowledge he gained from the Archives served him well in the future, but because his lack of lightsaber training he ended up far behind the other younglings. Under the careful guidance of Master Bondara, and with the help from his friends, however, Acero managed to live up to the standard that was required by the end of his time as a youngling.

Becoming an Apprentice

Despite the fact that Aocet, Matthew, and Acero had grown strong as younglings, by the time they reached the age of twelve, it seemed that their chances of becoming Jedi Knights had all passed them by; Younglings who weren't selected to be Padawans by the age of 13 would be shifted into one of the divisions of the Jedi Service Corps.

One day, Jedi Master Durkin Kona visited the Jedi Temple in the hopes of finding an apprentice. Together with his two friends they dueled each other to draw the attention of the maverick Jedi Master. Acero fought valiantly to the point of exhaustion. His final offensive against Matthew was carried out so fiercely that Kona found Acero too dangerous to be trained. Because of this, he was sent to the mining colony of Vactooine to work as a ploughman for the AgriCorps. Strangely enough, Kona happened to be sent on a mission to the same place. Acero had to work together with Kona if they were to survive the mission, which was a trap set for Kona by his former Padawan, Rarctuun. Acero managed to show Master Kona that he was worthy to be taken as a Padawan learner en route, when they were attacked by members of Rarctuun's criminal organization, the Fire Fists. After putting an end to the tense situation, they arrived on Vactooine, where Master Kona received a letter signed by Rarctuun. It turned out that Vactooine was not in need of Jedi assistance; it had all been organized by Rarctuun, who they revealed to be the leader of the Fire Fists, whose mining operations terrorized all on the planet.

Master Kona sent Acero off to do his AgriCorps duties while he planned to meet with Rarctuun, not as old adversaries, but as ambassadors, working to find an agreement between the Fire Fists and Vactooine. Rarctuun, however, planned all along to sabotage the meeting and kill Kona. Together, they attempted once more to end Rarctuun's acts of terror. Durkin Kona dueled with his former apprentice, and though they ended Fire Fists' business on Vactooine, Rarctuun was able to escape. It was during their altercation with Rarctuun that Master Kona discovered Acero's true potential, and took him as his new Padawan learner. Their relationship got off to a bad start, however, as their personalities were constantly at odds; Acero was headstrong, while Master Kona was more practical. As time went on, however, their opposing natures blended them into an effective duo.

Uncertain Future

Imperial Entanglements

Exile

Remembering a planet he had read about during one of his many visits to the Jedi Archives, Acero decided to travel to Yavin IV. The planet that would be his home for the next four years. He was amazed by the rich wildlife and nature on the planet, and with the orange gas giant up on the sky the place was breathtaking at times. However, Acero also sensed that the planet had a strong darkside presence. On some days the darkside could cloud Acero's mind and weaken his body. But he knew what he was getting himself into before he went there. He knew this was the resting place of Exar Kun and Fredon Nadd. That is why he came to the planet, he hoped that in the presence of a strong source of the dark side he could become invisible to the eyes of the Empire. At first though, the darkside gave him quite the fight. He had constantly nightmares during the first year, and sometimes when he journeyed through the jungle he could have sworn he heard voices whispering to him in an ancient tongue. However, Acero conquered his trials and started to see a light in the end of the tunnel.

Reunion

After many years in exile, Acero decided that he could not wait any longer. He traveled to Corellia where he got a pleasant surprise. While walking through the busy streets of Coronet, he was approached by a familiar face. His old friend Matthew-Sean. He told Acero that Aocet was also still alive and the two of them had been teaching a small group in the Jedi ways. The three of them got together later that night, and started planning the beginning of a new time. A new Order.

After a few weeks the three had established base at an old abandoned hunting lodge in the north-east. There they started training Force sensitives in secret for two years. The training went well, and the three masters was starting to believe that there was still hope. However, things were soon about to change. A skilled Imperial spy had been tracking Matthew-Sean's movement for the past few years and had now managed to locate the hidden training faility. Without warning, the faciliy was attacked by a imperial task force and burned to the ground. This all happened while Acero was off-world with Aocet, searching for a student that had gone missing. When they returned to the smoking remains they knew that they would have to go seperate ways once more. There was no sign of Matthew-Sean nor the students. Later that night Acero was on a transport shuttle going as far away as he could, back into hiding.

Chapter V - A Turning Point

Saved by the Jawas

Shortly after the incident on Corellia, Acero arrived on Tatooine. With little knowledge about the planet other than it was controlled by the Hutts, Acero started gathering various types of junk and sell it to workshops, farmers, and the like. He usually stayed in and around Mos Espa, but went on long hikes from time to time out into the desert. It was during one of these trips that a big sandstorm took him by surprise and nearly got the better of him.

Luckily, he found a few rocks he placed his back against while he used a meditative tachnique to block the sandstorm out. The storm lasted for several hours and made Acero exhausted. When the sandstorm was over he discovered that the rocks he had his back against was actually a downed starship. It appeeared to have been there for several years. Acero came to the conclusion that a recent sandstorm had uncovered the ship. As he investigated the ship he discovered that the ships memory bank was still intact. Even though Acero's computer skills do not go beyond his hours of searching through the old Jedi Archives he managed to retrieve the information from the ship's memory bank and store it on his datapad. Moments after he heard the sound of a massive machine coming his way. Acero quickly placed his datapad in his inner pocket and turned around to face the sounds. As he suspected it was a Sandcrawler, a huge transport used by the Jawa people. They probably wished to salvage the ship. As the sandcrawler stopped, Acero walked over to meet the leader of the tribe. Acero did not speak their language so he had to use a technique he learned in his studies at the Jedi Temple. By concentrating on the Force, Acero could pick up the meaning of languages through the Force. As Acero had thought the Jawa were there to salvage the old ship. As Acero discovered the ship first it was his to do what he want with. In exchange of some water and a ride back to Mos Espa or with them back to their camp, Acero gladly gave the ship to the Jawas.

New and old friends

Acero had now spent two months with the jawas in their camp. When he first was brought there their camp was under attack by the sandpeople and Acero had to step up and aid his little friends. He managed to send the tusken raiders into a retreat without taking any lifes. For this, the Jawas gave Acero a gift. The hull of a YT-1300. The Jedi Master found the gift interesting and quite amusing and he soon turned it into a nice home for himself at the camp. It was during one of the first nights in his new home that Acero pulled out his datapad and started going through the files he had taken from the crashed starship he discovered in the sandstorm. Most of the files there were not very interesting, however, there was one file that intrigued him. It was about the location of a Jedi artifact stolen by a sith called Darth Haar almost two-thousand years ago. Appearantly, the owner of the ship had figured out where the artifact was, but was shot down before he could get there. Acero was determined to find this Jedi artifact, but he would need help.

A few months later the Force smiles at Acero, as he gets a visitor. An old friend, Sege Cirisia. Sege asks Acero to help him train a few students of his. acero gladly accepts his offer and travel with Sege to Dantooine. Slowly and secretly students are trained, but unforseen events causes great depresseion amongst the Jedi. At this point the future is more uncertain than ever, and Acero has yet to tell anyone about his discoveries of the location to an ancient Jedi artifact.
